I enjoyed the majority of my degree, which made it difficult to narrow down exactly where I wanted to specialise early on.
After learning more about Dixon Wilson and the structure of the Graduate ACA Programme, I was particularly drawn to the firm due to the breadth of work on offer.
One of the aspects I have enjoyed most so far is the variety of work. At Dixon Wilson, we are not limited to one area and instead gain exposure across audit, tax, accounts, and new client onboarding. This has been the perfect mix for me, as it has allowed me to build a broad skillset while gaining a better understanding of where my interests lie, without feeling pushed into early specialisation.
The training and support offered have been great, with regular internal and external sessions helping to build confidence both in my day‑to‑day work and alongside exam preparation. Colleagues at all levels are always willing to help, which has made the transition from university to professional life feel manageable and positive.
There are regular socials and opportunities to get involved in sports, beyond this, there are plenty of ways to get involved outside of day‑to‑day work, whether that’s taking part in the social committee, acting as a buddy, or working with the marketing team on Dixon Wilson’s social media, all of which help add variety to the role and make it easy to connect with colleagues across the firm.
